Michihiro Matsuo, born in 1973 is an architect. He graduated from an architectural course at an industrial high school in Osaka, Japan. Then, he worked for a major construction company and afterwards a house construction company, where he supervised at construction sites. After acquiring his license of the first-class architect, he started his own business in his late 20s and founded Advance Archirtect, Inc. in 2004. While he traveled at home and overseas and visited buildings designed by renowned architects, he mastered architecture and design by himself, which made him succeed in establishing his own brand of custom-built home. He has been committed to the creation of chances for aspiring designers, which he had rarely had, bright stage-formation for designers and the development of young architects with highly execution management skills. As many of those young architects who he had helped, have grown, he established his private studio, in 2013, in order to focus on his own design work. Recently, his distinctive design, planning, branding and management style have been attracting a lot of attention so that he is requested to give lectures or support to business managers, companies and students. Also, he joined Kaizuka Junior Chamber, Inc. and promoted designing its town in his 30s. He served as the director in 2012, when he organized “ LIGHT AND STAR ART 〜 An Invitation to Lights and Stars 〜 “ aimed at making the best use of local resources and promoting the community. He was in charge of the grand design including the illumination as well, which attracted 10,000 visitors. Even after all these experiences, he is now actively working, pursuing a bright future as an architect with creativity and originality needed in our society.
